Stillwater Statement of Faith
Grasp International Inc. Stillwater Retreat acknowledges the Bible as its supreme authority in matters of faith and practice. The Corporation’s Statement of Faith is necessary for the fulfillment of its purposes. The Corporation accomplishes its business and objectives in accordance with the following doctrinal beliefs:
Statement on Marriage and Sexuality
- The Corporation adopts the traditional definition of marriage with the term “marriage” having only one meaning – that is marriage sanctioned by God which joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as described in the Holy Bible – Matthew 19:4-6 (KJV): “4 And he answered and said unto them, have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5 And said, for this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.”
- We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of Corporation as a Christ-centered ministry, and to provide a biblical role model to the Corporation’s members, guests and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by the Corporation in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers, or who participate in the Corporation’s activities, abide by and agree to this Statement on Marriage.
- No Director, officer, employee, member or any person under the direction or control of the Corporation shall commit any act, or permit the Corporation’s facilities, assets or property of any kind to be used in a manner that would be inconsistent with the Corporation’s definition of marriage.
